  1. I played 3D world and 3D land and I think they're actually pretty fun

  2. Hi from 2021, its good to know you were always funny

  3. I love how some of the stuff Scott said in this video actually came true

  4. This is actually my favorite 3D Mario game and also the one I have the most memories of.

  5. Wow… Scott predicted Bowser’s Fury. Incredible

  6. So I just finished this on Switch and I'm pretty sure I loved it. I've always felt Mario lost something when he switched to 3D; the games became more about exploration than simple, satisfying platforming. Which isn't bad, just different. But this was the first game that really brought the fun 2D gameplay into 3D for me. (Obviously I never played 3D Land.)

  7. ..can't believe you predicted Super Mario Classics 3D..and yesterday Mario died

  8. Going back to this after his 4 year Switch vid revealed that Mario 3D World has been redeemed on the Switch.

  9. The most memorable levels in 3D world are the galaxy ones .

Also yikes this looks really bad on Wii u compared to switch

  10. Revisiting this video because someone's going into labor

  11. As soon as you said "level editor" I had a great idea
I hope they're already making this, but if not, Super Mario 3d Maker
It'd be the third mario maker and you could make levels like this along with 2d levels
    Probably a pipe dream though

  12. This mario game is different becouse of how its not about peach this time
Thats different and thats what is so uneak about this game

  13. I gotta be real, I cannot stand this game. SNES World is one of my favorites and my complaint with post 64 mario has always been "imo this isn't nearly as good as 64". 3D world felt like (imo) it had nothing to do with the SNES one and felt nothing like the good 3D Mario's. It's too easy and overly hand hold-y.
The game was just a giant letdown for me.
Thank GAWD for Odyssey man because I'd all but given up on modern mario.

  14. I don't think Nintendo will commit to this in between style of game play as a third option for Mario games more so, I think this is more so an attempt to do their 3d games in a different way. (Funny enough by imitating the 2d games) but bowser's fury add on shows to me that this is more connected to the 3d games then the 2d ones .

  15. Honestly, 3D World is great, just in it's own way. I picked this game up to play with my girlfriend, she struggles with movement and camera other Mario titles and 3D World was the first Mario game she fully got, and understood. Not having to control a camera and having limited degrees of movement made alot of Mario's mechanics click, now we're playing through Sunshine together and it's awesome!

  16. Yknow, the "button that only a certain character can press" isnt the worst idea if they put them in areas that were difficult for a specific character to access

  17. mario 3d world is my favorite game how dare you I'm so upset 😭😭😭😭😭

I'm kidding about the last part but it is my favorite mario game, just because I love how it just injects nonstop fun BS into your veins. that absurd bull** is what makes it so unique and fun

  18. i guess playing this game with a wiimote made a bit of sense, because you can only move in 8 directions in the game, and d-pads can only go in 8 directions

  19. Yeah this game was just incredibly underwhelming to me when I replayed it, I liked it as a kid but never as much as the other ones. I agree with pretty much everything in this video

  20. He reviewed a game that didn't exist yet :O
Scott are you a time Traveler?

  21. when this game came out on switch, i spent a solid 2 days playing every level, collecting every star and stamp, and having an absolute blast. i’m probably not coming back to it anytime soon, but those 2 days were a lot of fun.

  22. Ok so I feel like 3d land and world are the mario game 2ds and 3ds are combined into these masterpieces the only thing I'd change starting with 3d land is have a mario vs Luigi mode then 3d world let me be yoshi!other then that perfect love these games even though I didn't play 3d land LOL

  23. To be honest, a lot of this games issues were fixed on the switch port, the levels are back on a handheld, there's actually all 3 types of games on the console so it's useful for the transition, and Bowser's Fury is even better for helping casuals ease into proper 3d

  24. I just finished 3d world + Bowser's Fury and I was very disappointed. 3d World felt like the most generic mario game I've ever played. Bowser's fury felt more like an odyssey dlc that takes place in generic mario backdrop. Nothing made me go "Wow" and I never really felt engaged.

  25. Can't want until Scott takes a crack at Bowser's Fury

  26. The wasteful pyramid randomly kill because cry distally hover across a abrupt move. various, broad competitor

  27. Honestly the double cherry is my favorite Mario power up like out of them all and I think I’m the only one who thinks this

  28. Does anyone know about the flags on the world map…when you clear levels, some of the M flags are red, some are yellow. I think it correlates with the collectibles, but even that doesn’t make much sense with how I’ve cleared some of these levels. Lol.

  29. these are all valid criticisms but i shall continue to ignore them because I have special memories with this game and I refuse to take the rose-tinted glasses off

  30. Considering the dumpster fire that the WiiU was at this point – hardly surprising that that Nintendo would not only play this release safe; but over-correct to the point of blandness

Hence the art style problems – among other issues

  31. This is my second fav Mario game so I’m just um… not important lol

  32. I like how in 6:54, Scott needed another double cherry in order to get the stamp, but he didn't have one so he just ran to the pole but one of his clones hit an invisible question block containing *you guessed it*, a double cherry. It was too late for Scott because he already climbed onto the pole.
